LIP 28: Gentoo Summary

Posted in Gentoo at 4:26 am by serge

Our grand adventure with Gentoo must, alas, come to end with tonight’s show. Given the time required for the emerge-download-compile dance, we had to leave three of our four distro checks for the last Gentoo show. So tonight we set out to get Gvim vimming, wireless wired, and sleep sleeping. Since it is the fourth of four episodes for Gentoo we also wind down with a summary of this grand distribution.

    GNU/Linux System Backup Script (stage4):

a bash script which lets you backup your GNU/Linux installation. At the moment it’s aimed for a Gentoo GNU/Linux (http://gentoo.org) installation – although it can be customised easily to fit any other distribution as well.
